Winterstar, Well To Do’s sire was the top priced colt on the Elite Verden Sale in 1987. He was described as a “model athlete, extremely attractive in appearance, with and exceptional neck”. He stems from the prolifically accomplished dressage “W” line. Wittenberg (Woehler), his sire is regarded as one of the top dressage sires in Europe. Woerman became the upholder of Woehler blood, (Woehler was the quintessence of dressage horse breeding in Germany for a considerable time), with sons like Wenzel and World Cup I, who set themselves a memorial with the presentation of his world famous son Weltmeyer I.
Winterstar’s dam, Gigantin, is also the dam of the world renowned stallion, For Pleasure (Olympic Team Champion, European Team Champion and German Champion. For Pleasure has produced international A Grades and top level dressage horses.
