UPHILL
In May of 2004, Uphill (v. Oscar) was approved and licensed by the KWPN, and later he was the 2008 Advanced/Medium Netherlands Dressage Indoor Champion in Roosendaal under Emmelie Scholtens.
In the report from the KWPN Breeding Evaluation Committee at his licensing, Uphill is described as a very energetic and trustworthy stallion who is very willing to work. His test marks for dressage were: Walk 8.5, Trot 8.0, Canter 7.5, Potential 8.0
Pedigree: Uphill’s sire, Oscar, presented an eye-catching collection of foals, and from his first crop, two of his sons were invited to take the 90 day performance test. Oscar himself, just like his half brother Kimberley, is a descendant of the famous Rania mare line. Uphill’s dam, Naomi Ceroon, is a good moving half-Thoroughbred mare. A full brother of this mare competes at advanced dressage, as do many of the offspring from this mare line.
Offspring Report: 08-09-2005: A uniform collection of well developed foals with
plenty of length in the leg, which are true to type [dressage]. The foals move easily
and correctly, with a good use of the hind leg.
